## Description

We are seeking SOC Analysts to join our team on the AGO GEO SPACES mission critical networks in Canberra. As a SOC Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats.

**Your New Role and Responsibilities**

The GEO SPACES Security Operations roles are identified in the Information System Security Management Plan under the GEO SPACES contract. You will report directly to the GEO SPACES Security Operations Team Lead and operate independently within the scope of your duties. Your responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring, detection, and response

- Vulnerability management

- Cyber Threat Intelligence

- IT security engineering, including SIEM, endpoint, network, gateway, and detection engineering

- Providing trusted advisory services

- Developing security operations-related system requirements

- Change review and approvals

- Developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships

**What You'll Bring to Make An Impact**

We are looking for individuals with experience in IT security operations and a passion for the field. For junior roles, two years of experience in IT security or four years in general IT support for cloud, network, gateway, or endpoint technologies is required. Scripting and broader coding experience is valuable. For senior roles, 5-10 years of experience delivering security operations functions is required, along with a motivation to drive growth and maturation of existing capabilities.
