## Description

Deutsche Bank Japan's Credit Risk Management team in Tokyo is seeking an Assistant Vice President to manage a dedicated portfolio of Corporate and Financial Institutions counterparties, as well as either real estate or leveraged lending.

The successful candidate will review credit proposals, write credit reports, recommend and decide on transactions and risk exposures within their personal credit authority. They will manage the risk arising from commercial and investment banking products, including committed loans, trade finance, and capital markets products.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing a portfolio of counterparties across corporate, financial institutions, real estate, and leveraged lending risks

- Reviewing credit proposals, writing credit reports, and recommending transactions

- Managing risk exposures and ensuring portfolio quality and documentation standards

- Participating in due diligence calls and visits, and offering advice to business stakeholders

- Engaging with internal and external auditors, and supporting the remediation of audit issues

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least 3 years of credit risk experience in an investment banking environment

- Broad product knowledge in lending and derivatives

- Experience in structuring complex transactions, particularly in leveraged and structured transactions or real estate financings

- Good knowledge of documentation and principal risk mitigating documentation techniques

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels

- Japanese native or native-level language qualifications, and strong written and verbal English skills
