## Description

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer Team Technical Lead to support a complex program providing Agile development for the Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) within Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

In this hands-on role, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems.

**Responsibilities:**

- Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery

- Directly guide, mentor, and coach a team of three senior developers

- Develop and integrate AI/GenAI capabilities into enterprise solutions, including AI-powered chatbots, LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and API integration

- Monitor team performance, resolve impediments, and develop solutions for driving improvement

- Lead application architecture, technical design, development, code reviews, integration testing, deployment, and production support across the SDLC

- Lead Program Increment (PI) Planning from a technical aspect, grooming objectives and providing technical details, and work on architecture

- Lead cross-team collaboration in support of development, testing, and deployment efforts

- Brief customers on development progress throughout the PI cycle on program status, including testing, deployment, and release readiness

- Maintain application posture for code coverage and ensure the CM process defined is working for the team

- Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design and define needs for build APIs

- Provide technical leadership to cross-functional development teams, establish coding standards, conduct design/code reviews, and drive engineering best practices

- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team

- Collaborate with government customers on requirements development

- Lead technical discussions with architects, product owners, developers, and business stakeholders translating into scalable technical solutions

**Requirements:**

- BA/BS and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience OR 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of degree

- Minimum of 5 years of Tech lead experience

- Technical Lead with experience designing and delivering scalable Java Full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Rest APIs, microservices, and modern front-end technologies

- Experience working with AI/ML as an integral part of executing the software lifecycle and/or implementing AI/ML solutions to support mission

- Must have experience in evaluating emerging AI technologies and development tools and identifying opportunities to improve application productivity, automation, and operational efficiency

- 8 years of hands-on experience using at least 6 of the following: React, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML, Springboot, Material UI, JAVA, AWS Cloud, Amazon Elastic Kubernete Service (EKS), Ansible, GIT, Rafay, RESTful Web Services, Hibernate, Oracle/ MySQL/Postgres, microservices, Springboot, Java

- Must have experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools

- Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start

- Experience with wireframe software to formulate effective mockups

- Must be a self-starter, strong leader, and can work independently with little supervision

- Knowledge of software design patterns

- Proficiency with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices

- Experience with Jira, Confluence

**Benefits:**

- Pay Range: $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
