## Description

We are looking for a security officer to join our team at Eastgate Shopping Centre in Basildon. As a security officer, you will be responsible for managing all shopping centre procedures in line with codes of practice, carrying out regular patrols, and supporting the soft service manager and shopping centre management.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Manage all shopping centre procedures in line with codes of practice

- Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre

- Support and provide guidance to the soft service manager and shopping centre management

- Liaise closely with statutory authorities and security supervisor

- Control and prioritise incidents

- Manage and monitor access and egress to and from the service yards and management office

- Ensure the shopping centre is a safe and non-threatening environment for customers and site staff

- Support the soft service manager to ensure necessary security audits are undertaken

- Manage excellent relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners

- Interact with visitors and tenants, delivering first-class customer-focused service

- Aid third-party contractors/visitors

Requirements:

- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

- Good knowledge of the local area

- Excellent levels of customer service

- Demonstrated ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure

- Valid SIA Door supervision license

- Smart appearance

- Ability to respond to incidents and take ownership of situations

Desirable:

- Valid SIA Public space surveillance (CCTV) licence

- CCTV/Security control room experience
