## Description

GitLab is seeking an Intermediate Backend Engineer for its Pipeline Authoring team. The team develops tools for creating and managing pipelines, focusing on CI/CD components and the CI/CD Catalog.

As a Backend Engineer, you will work on maturing the Catalog and Component functionality, improving performance, scalability, and security of Pipeline Creation. You will also collaborate with the team to ensure that GitLab CI/CD remains a best-in-class solution.

Responsibilities:

- Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code

- Ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance

- Collaborate with the team on larger projects

- Advocate for improvements to reliability, security, and performance

- Participate in agile development practices

- Contribute to the development process by asking questions and providing feedback

- Embrace continuous learning and stay connected with industry best practices

- Participate in Tier 2 on-call rotations

Requirements:

- Proficiency with Ruby and Ruby on Rails

- Proven experience writing testable code in Ruby on Rails

- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems

- Experience with GraphQL is a plus

- Ability to self-manage and organize in an asynchronous and collaborative work environment

- Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical problems

- Familiarity with various stages of software development end-to-end

- Proven ability to work effectively in a team

- Commitment to continuous learning and openness to giving and receiving feedback

The base salary range for this role is 248,000zł-372,000zł.
