## Description

We are seeking a Purch. Material Cost Buyer to join our team in Chennai, India. As a Purch. Material Cost Buyer, you will play a critical role in managing supply-chain deliverables across product programs, coordinating sourcing, cost, investment, supplier readiness, and milestone execution with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

- Validate Buyer Handover documents with supplier quoted prices and basic documents

- Follow up with Buyers to clarify mismatch documents

- Send regular follow-ups to stakeholders for clarification

- Place POs to suppliers based on inputs from Buyers

- Prepare weekly and/or monthly reports and distribute to customers

- Maintain tracking sheets in line with Service Level Agreement deliverables

- Identify process improvements using Kaizen and Six Sigma processes

- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships

- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate procurement records and transaction evidence

- Ensure purchasing activities comply with established procurement policies and approval workflows

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, BCA, BBA, or equivalent

- Good Excel skills and communication skills

- Basic understanding of Purchasing

- 1-2 years of experience in Purchasing or Manufacturing

Recommended qualifications:

- Technical aptitude to understand and respond to technical RFQs

- Good team player

- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Basic knowledge of Power BI

- Quick learner

- Good analytical skills

- Ability to plan workload and manage time to respond to business needs

- Flexibility to work in different shift timings per business needs

- Problem-solving and process improvement capabilities
