## Description

As a Senior/Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering civil and bridge engineering projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence. You will also mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities include:

- Bridge design for UK and overseas projects

- Bridge management

- Bridge strengthening, repair, inspections, and assessments

- General civil and structural engineering support

- Feasibility studies and options appraisals

- Preparation of documents, reports, and health and safety risk assessments

- Scheme designs, drawings, and feasibility studies

- Outline cost estimates and fee estimates

- Supervision of junior team members and CAD technicians

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with experience in bridge design, maintenance, and assessment. You will have practical knowledge of project management, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW), Eurocodes, and experience with steel, reinforced, and prestressed concrete bridge structures.

Requirements also include:

- Experience with grillage, space frame, and finite element analysis software packages such as LUSAS, Superstress, and SAM

- Good communication, client handling, and interpersonal skills

- Willingness to adapt to new challenges and participate in the development of the bridges team
