## Description

The LMS Administrator (Solution Administrator) is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the university's technological infrastructure while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

**Primary Responsibilities**

- Oversees the administration and maintenance of software solutions critical to the university's operations.

- Manages the integration of various systems and platforms to ensure interoperability and data consistency.

- Collaborates with faculty and staff to identify, evaluate, and implement educational technologies that enhance the learning experience.

- Implements and enforces security protocols to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

- Develops and maintains comprehensive plans to mitigate the impact of disasters and ensure business continuity.

- Provides technical support to users and conducts training sessions to promote efficient use of technology resources.

- Liaises with vendors to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure service level agreements are met.

- Evaluates proposed integrations for feasibility, compatibility, and alignment with organisational objectives.

- Monitors system performance, identifies bottlenecks, and implements optimisations to enhance efficiency.

- Develops and updates policies, procedures, and documentation related to technology usage and administration.

**Qualifications**

- Proficiency in system administration, particularly in cloud-based environments.

- Strong understanding of integration techniques and protocols.

- Knowledge of educational technologies and their applications in online learning environments.

- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.

- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.

- Strong project management and organisational skills.

- Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiation.

- Understanding of accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to program development and institutional compliance.

**Education**

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

**Experience**

- 2 years of experience as an LMS Administrator, with a strong emphasis on developing and refining systems, programs, and processes to support organisational goals.

- Experience in system administration, particularly in cloud-based environments.
