## Description

The Hounslow Speech and Language Therapy Team are seeking a passionate and experienced therapist to join as our Lead for Dysphagia. The successful candidate will have significant experience in providing care to babies, children, and young people with dysphagia, as well as a small caseload of preschool children with complex speech, language, and communication needs.

The post includes the opportunity to be involved in training and supervision of staff, as well as service development. The senior leadership team works closely together to continue to shape and develop the service, alongside other leads in Children's Therapy Services.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Significant experience as a Speech and Language Therapist working within specialist field (e.g., paediatric dysphagia / complex needs)

- Extensive experience of carrying out specialist assessments and intervention relevant to the client group

- Extensive experience of supervising less experienced SLTs

- Advanced knowledge of a broad range of assessment tools relevant to the client group

- Advanced knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions relevant to the client group

- Established knowledge of the national policies and procedures relevant to the client group

- Leadership skills, including self-leadership

- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a uni/multidisciplinary team

- Ability to communicate highly complex or sensitive advice and information to others

- Able to manage competing demands/priorities, be flexible and organised

The salary for this post is £55,524 to £62,652 per annum.
