## Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Multimatic in Newmarket, Ontario.

The successful candidate will have authority to take photographs and video within Multimatic for internal use or job-related correspondence.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring accuracy of manufacturing bills of materials and work centre master files

- Coordinating ECNs to minimize obsolete stock and ensure production at the required engineering level

- Developing and coordinating plant and equipment layout improvements

- Assisting in developing and maintaining standard costs for all products

- Coordinating and following up on the smooth introduction of new products

- Researching and pursuing opportunities for improvement in the operation

- Participating in the engineering change process

- Reviewing operator instructions and ensuring readiness of assembly equipment

- Maintaining a daily presence on the production floor and providing engineering support

- Researching, investigating, and reporting manufacturing concerns

- Advising management of potential problems and opportunities for improvement

- Completing additional projects as assigned

- Following all departmental and general procedures

- Performing other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager

- Abiding by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures

- Working in compliance with Environment and ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards

- Adopting and practicing Kaizen principles

The ideal candidate will have:

- Completion of a college diploma or university degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering

- Minimum of five years' experience in a related field or discipline

- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems

- Good technical report writing abilities

- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and C.A.D.

- Excellent problem-solving techniques and methods

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The total cash compensation range for this position is $57,658.00 - $107,000.00.
