## Description

We are seeking a Rehabilitation Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of our rehabilitation department. As a key member of our team, you will plan, manage, and evaluate programs and staff, attend facility meetings, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, manage, and evaluate the programs and staff of the rehabilitation department

- Attend facility meetings such as stand-up, Medicare, care planning, and others with approval of Director Operations

- Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department, including:

- Ensuring adequate staffing

- Monitoring admissions

- Assigning new evaluations and screens

- Developing treatment schedules

- Maintaining staff utilization

- Case management

- Completion of screening

- Tracking and documenting MDS assessment periods and data

- Ensuring staff compliance and utilization of all automated therapy management tools

- Monitor and assist with personnel compliance standards, including required credentials, corrective actions, and improvement plans

- Manage cost and fiscal growth

- Assist in recruitment, hiring, and retention of therapy staff

- Provide new staff training and orientation

- Complete documentation and chart audits

- Identify program development needs and implement appropriate programming

- Promote positive employee relations

- Set and implement departmental goals and objectives, guidelines, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

- Registered Therapist or Therapy Assistant of any discipline

- Current and valid state licensure

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Knowledge of therapy software/EMR

- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism

- PDPM knowledge

- Medicaid case mix knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior senior living experience

- Supervisory role in a healthcare setting
