At M&S, Finance plays a vital role in helping the business make confident, well-informed decisions. You’ll join a collaborative Finance team based in Salford Quays, continuing to evolve and improve how they work. This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and partnering with colleagues across the business to make a real impact.

The assessment centre on Thursday, 19th November, will include:

- A structured interview

- A practical finance-based exercise

- A collaborative group task

Key responsibilities:

- Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting and analysis to support effective decision-making.

- Use data to challenge assumptions, uncover opportunities, and provide clear commentary and recommendations.

- Maintain a strong financial control environment, supporting reconciliations and investigating variances.

- Partner with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, resolving queries and communicating financial information clearly.

Requirements:

- Part-qualified accountant working towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.

- Previous experience within a finance or accounting environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and financial systems.

- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
