## Description

Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join their team. The hospital is located in attractive grounds in a rural setting, on the edge of the South Downs National Park, and offers acute mental health support for adult males.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key part in patients' recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans

- Providing practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs

- Observing and monitoring patients' wellbeing and referring any unusual occurrences to senior staff

- Providing specific interventions with patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse

The ideal candidate will be educated to at least NVQ Level 1 or hold GCSEs in Mathematics and English. They will understand the importance of maintaining strict confidentiality and possess basic IT literacy.
