## Description

The worldwide data management software market is massive, forecast to be $94 billion in 2023 and growing to approximately $153 billion in 2027. At MongoDB, we're transforming industries and empowering developers to build amazing apps. We're seeking a Senior Solutions Architect (Search Specialist) to join our Pre-Sales organization and guide customers in crafting and building reliable, scalable systems using our data platform.

As a MongoDB Solutions Architect, you'll work closely with sales reps and play a key role in winning deals and driving the business forward. You'll be a trusted advisor to a wide range of users, from startups to large enterprise IT organizations. This role will focus on being a product specialist of Search, including Vector Search, Embeddings, and Rerankers.

Responsibilities:

- Design systems, applications, and infrastructure to help drive software development projects using MongoDB and the Atlas data platform

- Advise customers on architectures, patterns, and strategies for making the best use of MongoDB

- Articulate the business value of MongoDB solutions

- Align with sales to support activities such as technical discovery, demos, and proof of value

- Translate technical concepts and patterns into business benefits for management and executives

- Act as a liaison, collecting feedback from the field to relay back to the Product Management team

Requirements:

- 3+ years of search or information retrieval expertise (Elasticsearch, Lucene, Solr, Algolia, Milvus, Qdrant, or similar)

- 3+ years of software development experience or pre-sales experience with enterprise software

- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish

- Solid understanding and ability to code with two or more modern scripting languages and/or popular programming languages

- Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems

- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have:

- Experience with building and/or deploying AI agentic applications

- Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with any of the major cloud providers

- Experience with database programming and data models

- A MongoDB Certification

- A major cloud provider certification
