## Description

As a Principal Data Scientist at Capital One, you'll lead the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies. You'll work on AI-powered products that change how customers interact with their money.

**Responsibilities:**

- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products

- Leverage technologies like Pytorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, and LangChain to analyze huge volumes of data

- Be an expert in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs)

- Build machine learning and NLP models through all phases of development

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

**Requirements:**

- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a relevant degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in a quantitative field

- 5+ years of experience performing data analytics (for Bachelor's degree holders)

- 3+ years of experience performing data analytics (for Master's degree holders or MBA with a quantitative concentration)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Master's Degree or PhD in a STEM field

- Experience working with AWS

- At least 3 years' experience in Python, Scala, or R

- At least 3 years' experience with machine learning

- At least 3 years' experience with SQL

**Salary:** McLean, VA: $161,800 - $184,600 per year New York, NY: $176,500 - $201,400 per year San Jose, CA: $176,500 - $201,400 per year
