## Description

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our team at Elmstead Care Home in Chislehurst. As a Care Assistant, you will be at the heart of our organisation, providing person-centred care that supports independence and honours choice. You will be part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standards of care, ensuring our residents live a life they truly love.

**About Elmstead Care Home** Elmstead Care Home is a 40-bedded residential home that includes a 12-bedded safe environment for residential dementia care. The home has good transport links, four comfortable lounges, an onsite hairdressing salon, and well-maintained gardens.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care

- Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation

- Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan

- Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually

- Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements

**What We're Looking For**

- Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification
