## Description

You will engineer the future with Synopsys, a leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems. The Simpleware team, now part of Synopsys' portfolio through Ansys, develops software that converts 3D medical images,CT and MRI scans,into accurate 3D models for CAD, simulation, and 3D printing.

As an Applications Engineering, Staff Engineer - Simpleware, you will provide technical support to customers using Simpleware software. Your responsibilities will include delivering software demos, training sessions, webinars, and workshops, visiting customers, representing the team at conferences and events, contributing to product requirements, documentation, and technical content, supporting consultancy projects involving AI/ML segmentation and automation, and building and maintaining customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor.

Your impact will be enabling clinicians and engineers to turn imaging data into models for surgical planning, device design, and simulation. You will shape product direction by surfacing customer needs to product teams, accelerate customer success through expert support and training, and expand software adoption through demos and technical thought leadership.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, medical imaging, or a related field, 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role, experience with medical image processing software such as Simpleware, Mimics, or 3D Slicer, working knowledge of FEA/CFD software such as Ansys, Python or scripting experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have skills include CAD/3D modeling, ISO 13485 familiarity, 3D printing knowledge, and clinical or medical device experience.

You will join the Simpleware US technical support and applications team, working with customers across clinical, academic, and engineering environments. You will collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams globally, moving between support, training, and consultancy work.
