## Description

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Cleared Network Operations Cloud Engineer to join their team. As a Cleared Network Operations Cloud Engineer, you will operate and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, datacenter, and disconnected-cloud networks across classified and non-classified environments.

Responsibilities:

- Operate and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, datacenter, and disconnected-cloud networks across classified and non-classified environments, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, DNS/IPAM, and network-management platforms.

- Resolve complex connectivity, routing, policy, performance, and application-delivery issues using packet capture, monitoring, logs, and structured troubleshooting.

- Execute approved network and security changes through ServiceNow, including firewall policies, access controls, load-balancing profiles, routing, and DNS updates, while maintaining incident, request, problem, and knowledge records.

- Support and troubleshoot VMware NSX tenant networking and secure private-cloud connectivity, including tenant segments, routing, security policies, and infrastructure-to-cloud integration.

- Partner with cloud, virtualization, systems, security, architecture, and application teams on tenant onboarding, workload migrations, technology refreshes, continuity exercises, disaster recovery, and production deployments.

- Translate approved architecture into diagrams, low-level designs, implementation and test plans, operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-transfer materials for out-of-band connectivity, IPsec, NAT, segmentation, and customer integration.

- Monitor service health, identify recurring risks, and improve reliability through automation, standardization, knowledge sharing, and disciplined problem management.

- Lead customer and cross-functional technical discussions, communicate status, risks, dependencies, and recovery actions, identify ownership or architecture gaps, and drive resolution through engineering, security, and governance channels.

- Review network and NSX STIG checklists, document findings, implement approved hardening, and maintain audit-ready evidence through change management.

- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide evening or weekend support when mission requirements demand it.

Requirements:

- U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required at application.

- DoD 8140-compliant baseline certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or an approved higher-level certification, required upon start.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, network engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant technical experience.

- Seven or more years of progressive network engineering or operations experience, including hands-on responsibility for complex enterprise, Datacenter, private-cloud, or federal environments.

Technical Skills:

- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2/3 networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, BGP, and OSPF.

- Experience supporting SDN or VMware NSX environments, including tenant connectivity, segmentation, routing, and security-policy troubleshooting.

- Hands-on experience with enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, DNS/IPAM, monitoring, and packet-analysis platforms.

- Experience with secure or regulated infrastructure, including Zero Trust, hardening, STIG/SRG implementation, CKL review, vulnerability remediation, Tenable or ACAS validation, segmentation, access control, evidence collection, and RMF/ATO documentation.

Benefits:

- Comprehensive suite of benefits that supports physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing.

- Investment in career development and growth.

- Unconditional inclusion and celebration of individual uniqueness.
