## Description

Anthropic's Data Center Security Engineering team owns physical security for the data centers where their AI systems are built and run. They're hiring a Country Lead for Data Center Security in Australia, a senior role focused on security systems and architecture.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as regional operations lead for data center physical security in Australia

- Run site security programs, coordinate with site operators and contract guard forces

- Own in-region incident response and escalation

- Administer and operate electronic security systems, including access control, video management, intrusion detection, and visitor management

- Design and document security systems architecture

- Build and maintain integrations for security data sources

- Support construction-phase security for new builds and modular deployments

- Manage regional security vendors and integrators

- Write and maintain operational backbone documentation

- Provide after-hours coverage and structured handoffs to US-based teams

Requirements:

- Hands-on experience with enterprise physical security systems

- Experience running physical security operations at data centers or high-security facilities

- Ability to produce and work from security design documentation

- Remote within NSW, VIC, or ACT, with regular travel to data center sites, and authorization to work in Australia

Preferred qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience in physical security operations and security systems engineering

- Direct data center experience

- Experience standing up or operating a SOC/GSOC or comparable 24/7 monitoring operation

- Familiarity with PSIM or SIEM platforms and physical-security network segmentation practices

Logistics:

- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

- Required field of study: Relevant to the role

- Location-based hybrid policy: 25% office time

- Visa sponsorship: Available
