The Cafe Engineer will be a self-motivated, task-oriented individual who leads all aspects of the Cafe Infrastructure, while attending to daily Facility needs. You will be assisting the Facilities Team with various programs, web pages, and special projects. **Responsibilities:** - Assist in developing a comprehensive Maintenance Program for Cafe Equipment Operations - Oversee and maintain multiple Roblox Cafe’s, to ensure the expected level of operations regarding the physical area, refrigeration equipment, Fire Suppression system and management of service providers and/or vendors equipment - Serve as the primary technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cafe equipment, minimizing downtime and reducing reliance on external vendors whenever possible - Experience, aptitude and working knowledge of commercial Café/Kitchen components and systems: troubleshoot issues, researches common operational problems, and determine when specialty vendors need to be called in, to include the facilitating of those services to successful conclusion. - Examples would include Oven/Ranges, Grills, Fryers, Steamers, Food Prep Equipment, Washers, Dish Carousels, Beverage Dispensers, Ice Makers, etc. - Will possess solid understanding of building infrastructure, electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, water filtration, refrigeration, and HVAC. - Have the ability to troubleshoot and or repair common issues pertaining to cafe equipment furniture, cabinetry, millwork, laminates, plumbing fixtures, and interior building finishes. - Be responsible for coordinating all preventive maintenance programs within the Café (to include kitchen and dining area), whether self-performed or led, and facilitating repairs or replacement as warranted when approved by Roblox. - Be an effective organizer and communicator, responsible for establishing lines of communication with all team members within the Café operation, Roblox Facilities Department, associated service providers, including Service by Medallion Janitorial management/staff. - Aptitude to use computers, apps/software tools, or other relevant/required technology as needed to perform and communicate in the role. - Be knowledgeable of all Safety (CalOSHA) and become familiar with all relevant Health Codes & Regulations applicable to Café/Kitchen operations. - Duties may require work during evenings and weekends. - Other duties as assigned. **Requirements:** - Experienced with 10+ years Facilities/Cafe Operations - Can be productive and effective with minimal direction - Expert at building relationships with customers and enjoy customer service - Knowledgable with technology in a fast-paced environment - Resourceful, exhibit patience under pressure, and are capable of finding solutions - A strong communicator and self-starter - Well organized and detail oriented with excellent multi-tasking ability - Hands-on, proactive, and able to respond quickly to operational needs with urgency - Comfortable taking ownership of repairs and being the first line of response before escalating to vendors **Benefits:** - Annual Salary Range: $117,770,$145,630 USD - All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits **Schedule:** - Onsite: Monday - Friday from 9am-6pm ## Skills ### Required - Facilities Operations - Cafe Equipment Maintenance - Troubleshooting - Customer Service - Communication - Time Management --- Source: [Apply at careers.roblox.com](https://careers.roblox.com/jobs/7857818?utm_source=yubhub.co&utm_medium=jobs_feed&utm_campaign=apply)
