Join the Ford Product Development team as a Brake Controls Software Engineer, working on breakthrough products and services that delight customers.

## Responsibilities

As a Brake Controls Software Engineer, you will:

- Lead Brake Controls software application engineering for safety-critical electronic brake systems

- Manage Brake Controls software and calibration deliveries, coordinating with suppliers and in-house teams

- Guide supplier partners through the Ford Global Product Development System (GPDS)

- Verify software requirements and deliver software work packages

- Resolve brake controls software issues and investigate Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) issues

- Support service manual development, driver assist features, and prototype vehicle builds

- Collaborate on Cross-Module network communication implementation and ensure compliance with Central Software requirements (ASPICE)

## Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Automotive Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

- 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation

- 2 years of experience with FMEA, quality assurance processes, and managing multiple supplier and in-house software teams

- 1 year of experience with designing, developing, and diagnosing braking systems using vehicle network communication protocols, AutoSAR, and SAE J1979

- Experience with digital and analog data acquisition systems, including CANalyzer, and controls modeling tools like MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and SysML
